Oh how I love to take a bite of a sweet fruit.
When it runs down my arm
As if making its way to becoming
Me.
If I could live off of just fruit
Maybe I would.
I know that some people do try.
Maybe they too crave the sweet
And soul satisfying
Crunch of a crisp apple.
The tender bite of a juicy pear.
The sour chew of a summer orange.
The bursting bubble of a fresh grape.
One day I would love to
Grow a garden
That is filled with abundant fruit trees.
Maybe it is then
That life will be
Filled with nothing but sweet.
And I will become
The fruits of my labor.
All that I have grown.
